Happy Equinox & Astrological New Year! For those in the Northern Hemisphere, we are witnessing life break through the earth in all of it's colors. After surrendering to the mystery in Pisces season, we are launched back into the world, renewed and revitalized, with the sign of Aries. 

The first decan of Aries relates to the Two of Wands, the suit of fire and creativity. In readings, this card is a sign of hatching plans for the future, often with a partner or spiritual friend. When the Two of Wands arrives, it's clear that the dreaming stage has ended and it's time for decisive action, which is what Aries Season is all about!

In Megan Wyreweden's gorgeously earthy deck Anima Mundi Tarot, we see two wands blossoming with flowers in the foreground. While this card is often depicted with a solar landscape, the wash of stars reminds us that we are just coming out of dream time, and that a big part of this card, and this season, is about getting our bearings. 

Are we moving forward - YES! Are we growing - YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT! But we are doing so on fresh legs, aching from hibernation, ready to stretch. We can take a lesson from the Equinox here, and balance our desire for action with our need for restoration. As the saying goes, nature doesn't rush, and yet all is accomplished.
